What do you eat for dessert in Alaska?

ICE CREAM, of course.

After working hard all day the boys love to have ice cream for dessert. They are trying to observe portion control by using small bowls. However, they have found ways around this trick. Steve B. piles his ice cream 8" above the rim whereas Steve L. goes for the multiple refill. Alan is happy with whatever he gets.

Hard Workers

The boys have been working hard. They get up early (7:30 or so) Work until sunset (3:45pm) come home, shower, have dinner and then watch TV. It's a simple life here in Alaska. One of the first completed tasks was the front porch soffit. Then came the front porch stairs. I think on this day it rained, snowed, hailed, thundered and lightninged and then rained some more.
My handy work was painting the house numbers (they were originally black) and running to the lumber yard about 5 times.

Back on the Blog

Ok, ok, I know I haven't updated the blog lately but it's hard when you don't have internet. Back in the summer we dropped our internet so we could afford to build our house. Things have been tight but there is an end in sight. My dad and uncle are here helping us with the finish work. They are a God Send!!! I'll post some pictures of the building progress and the "laborers" later, but for now you'll just have to read.

On September 24 our sweet little grandson was born, Emerson Aaron Leddick. He is doing great and growing fast. That's him and I know, he's the cutest grandson ever:) So now that I have your attention, keep checking back and I promise to update more frequently.
I like to hear from you too, so post a comment.
